Units come fully populated and tested with an empty 0.1" spaced footprint ready for a straight header, right angle header (recommended), or your own wires/umbilical cable.

Dual Axis IDG300
This is the first dual-axis MEMs gyro available on the open market. The IDG-300 is a 3.3V leadless IC with a smaller profile than other single axis gyros.
This gyro has a cost of around £13.50 per sensor axis, half the price of similar gyro sensors. Originally designed for image stabilization, the IDG300 dual axis gyro is now available for the consulting and research markets.

IMU 6 Degrees of Freedom Barnacle
The Barnacle is an IMU designed to give highly sensitive low frequency readings in potentially harsh and RF noisy environments. It comes enclosed in an metal shielded enclosure to reduce EMF interference and has a very wide input voltage range for maximum flexibility. The connector is a water tight, lock-fit 8 pin Conxall connector.
The Barnacle uses a Freescale MMA7260Q triple-axis accelerometer and three ANALOG DEVICES ADXRS401 75°/second gyros for measurements. Each channel is buffered and filtered with Sallen-Key second order low pass filters.

with Bluetooth
The 6DOF v4 Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) is the latest Sparkfun IMU offering. The v4 provides 3 axes of acceleration data, 3 axes of gyroscopic data, and 3 axes of magnetic data. Each independent channel is user selectable, as is the sampling frequency. The device can also report in ASCII or binary format, and can work over a wireless Bluetooth link or a wired TTL serial connection. Control is provided through an LPC2138 ARM7 processor with plenty of extra memory for custom code development. All code is written using the free WinARM development platform.

With our available source code, you can be doing your own development in minutes! The board also has a Roving Networks Bluetooth module on it for custom wireless applications.
