Fingerprint Scanner

The Nitgen RS232 serial fingerprint scanner is a powerful ADSP-BF531 Blackfin based system. This scanner is capable of gathering and storing unique finger prints. Simply hold your finger on the optical scanner, query the device over serial, and you will be issued a unique ID. Use that ID within your embedded system to determine access levels, time clocks, door locks, etc.

Unit includes master controller board, optical reader, and ribbon cable to connect read to controller. We are trying to get pigtail interface cables made but in the interim, you will need to create your own connection to the serial connector.

Fingerprint Slide Scanner

This is a low-cost finger print scanner with a slide type sensor where the user slides their finger over the scanner. The ARA-ME-01 uses a simple serial interface that makes identifying users by their finger print fast and easy. This scanner is capable of gathering and storing unique finger prints. Polar Heart Rate Module - RMCM01

This is a OEM module for the Polar Heart Rate system. This device works with any Polar heart rate strap to pickup the electromagnetic pulse and output a 1ms pulse indicating a heart beat has occurred. Embed a heart rate reading into your next project!

The RMCM01 requires no antenna. It does require a 32kHz crystal but that crystal does not need capacitors. Please see the basic schematic in the more information page.

Polar Heart Rate Monitor Interface

This is a wonderful evaluation board cooperatively designed by danjuliodesigns and SparkFun.

The Heart Rate Monitor Interface (HRMI) is an intelligent peripheral device that converts the ECG signal from the Polar Heart Rate Monitor (HRM) into easy-to-use heart rate data.

It implements a sophisticated algorithm for computing an average heart rate even with noisy or intermittent data from the transmitter.

Alcohol Gas Sensor MQ-3

This alcohol sensor is suitable for detecting alcohol concentration on your breath, just like your common breathalyzer.

It has a high sensitivity and fast response time. Sensor provides an analogue resistive output based on alcohol concentration. The drive circuit is very simple, all it needs is one resistor. A simple interface could be a 0-3.3V ADC.
