Capacitive Sensor - Interface board for the ANALOG DEVICES 7746 capacitance sensor. Configured for two channels of single-ended capacitance input. Comes with an example touch sensor as well as long capacitance creating traces. Useful as a complete I2C interfaced touch sensor, or as a capacitance measuring tool. |

Current Sensors (10 products) - This current sensor gives precise current measurement for both AC and DC signals. These are good sensors for metering and measuring overall power consumption of systems. The ACS712 current sensor measures up to 5A of DC or AC current. |

Gyro Sensors (18 products) - This is a breakout board for the ST's single-axis LY530ALH gyro. The LY530ALH measures angular velocity along the yaw axis with a full scale of ±300°/s. Two different analog outputs are provided for the z-axis - one 1x amplified and the other 4x amplified. |

IMU Sensors (20 products)- The 6DOF v4 Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) is the latest Sparkfun IMU offering. The v4 provides 3 axes of acceleration data, 3 axes of gyroscopic data, and 3 axes of magnetic data. Each independent channel is user selectable, as is the sampling frequency. The device can also report in ASCII or binary format, and can work over a wireless Bluetooth link or a wired TTL serial connection. |

Membrane Potentiometers (13 products) - These are very thin variable potentiometers. By pressing down on various parts of the strip, the resistance linearly changes from 100 Ohms to 10,000 Ohms allowing the user to very accurately calculate the relative position on the strip. |

Proximity Sensors (2 products) - This is a simple to use motion sensor. Power it up and wait 1-2 seconds for the sensor to get a snapshot of the still room. If anything moves after that period, the 'alarm' pin will go low. |

Vibration Sensors (4 products) - The Minisense 100 is a low-cost cantilever-type vibration sensor loaded by a mass to offer high sensitivity at low frequencies. Useful for detecting vibration and 'tap' inputs from a user. A small AC and large voltage (up to +/-90V) is created when the film moves back an forth. A simple resistor should get the voltage down to ADC levels. Can also be used for impact sensing or a flexible switch. |

Radiation Sensors (2 products) - This is a USB powered Geiger Counter equipped with an ATMega168 that can be programmed in circuit using one of the programmers below. Simply plug the unit into USB (make sure you have FTDI drivers installed), open a terminal program to the correct COM power at 9600bps, and you will see random bits being generated from the random background radiation. |

Weather Sensors (6 products) - You take the sensitive SCP1000 barometric pressure sensor, add the TEMT6000 ambient light sensor, match it with a sensitive SHT15 humidity sensor, and you get the weather over USB! Ok, so it doesn't really predict the weather, but you can immediately tell what the current pressure, humidity, ambient light level, and temperature is. |
