Distance Measuring Sensor
Infrared distance measuring sensor. Digital output, reads high when an object is closer than 24cm.
Supplied with 300mm connection
lead (26 gauge stranded wire) one end of which has a machine crimped JST connector and the other end of the lead is left free.
This is the digital version of the Sharp GP2D12. The GP2D15 has a pre-set distance threshold of 24cm.
The GP2D15 is useful if you don't have an A/D converter or analogue input pin available on your robot, or if you are just interested in proximity rather that determining a precise range.

The GP2Y0D340K is Sharp's smallest distance measuring sensor - less than half the size of the GP2D12/D15.
This sensor is extremely useful as a proximity sensor for small robots.
Unlike the other Sharp sensors we sell, this one has 0.1" spaced leads for mounting on a circuit board,
eliminating the need for special connectors.

Proximity Detector
Infrared light sensor with built in pulse driver circuit and sync detector. Useful as a short-range wide-angle proximity detector or for non-contact bump sensing.
The pulse driver modulates the output of an external infrared LED (not included). The LED will illuminate the target with modulated IR; reflected IR in sync with the output is detected by the IS471F, making detection relatively insensitive to ambient lighting.

Universal Sensor Panning Mounting Bracket
With our rugged, lightweight, Sensor Panning bracket you can mount up to any mixture (Max # 3) of Sharp IR or Devantech Ultrasonic Sensors and pan them around using an RC servo. Using a standard 180 degree servo, you can achieve a scanning range of 270+ degrees. The angle between each sensor is 45 degrees.
