Hokuyo (6 products) - The HOKUYO URG-04LX is a state of the art laser range finder specifically designed for robotics applications. The PBS-03JN is a popular alternative to laser range-finders in indoor environments. The sensor is popular due to its low cost, low power consumption and light weight design.

Sharp (12 products) - The GP2DXX line of Sharp detectors not only gives object detection at a longer range than previously used methods, it also offers range information in the case of the GP2D02 and the GP2D12 detectors. These rangers offer much better immunity to ambient lighting conditions due to the new method of ranging.

MaxSonar (7 products) - The MaxSonar-EZ1 offers very short to long-range detection and ranging, in an incredibly small package with ultra low power consumption. The interface output formats included are pulse width output, analog voltage output, and asynchronous serial digital output.

Devantech (11 products) - These popular sonar sensors have been designed for use in hobby robotics, the ultrasonic ranger modules have a logic line used to trigger a pulse and an echo is returned on a second line. Minimal power requirements and compact, self contained designs make these favorites with robotics enthusiasts.

Pololu Sensors (6 products) - The QTR-1A reflectance sensor carries a single infrared LED and phototransistor pair in an inexpensive, tiny 0.5" x 0.3" module that can be mounted almost anywhere and is great for edge detection and line following applications. The reflectance measurement is output as an analog voltage.

Inex Robotics (22 products) - Based on the TCS230 for Color Detection, outputs a variable analog voltage representing the color of an object, can also output a digital signal in color match mode, compatible with all microcontrollers and plastic base for easy & safe installation

WiFi Vision & Control - This is a bundle of the SRV-1 Blackfin Camera with the combo radio/motor that controls the SRV-1 robot and the Matchport WiFi 802.11b/g radio module. Two-board set includes Blackfin Camera with 500MHz Analog Devices Blackfin BF537 processor, 32MB SDRAM, 4MB Flash, and Omnivision OV9655 1.3 megapixel camera, along with combo radio/motor board, Lantronix Matchport b/g radio module and antenna.

Speech Recognition (8 products) - The SR-07 Speech Recognition Kit is a stand alone circuit that can recognize up to 40 words (user selected words) lasting one second each or 20 words (user selected words or phrases) lasting 2 seconds each. The speech recognition circuit is multi-lingual, words to be trained for recognition may be in any language.

CMUcam3 (3 products) - The CMUcam III is a new low-power sensor for mobile robots that can do several different kinds of on-board, real-time vision processing. The CMUcam uses a serial port and can be directly interfaced to other low-power processors such as PIC chips. Using a CMUcam, it is easy to make a robot head that swivels around to track an object. You can even build a robot that will chase a ball around.

POB-Eye - A real brain for your robot, the POB-Eye is a color camera robot part which allows you to do real time shapes recognition. The POB-Eye is programmable in C, Java, Basic and RISBEE. An easy to use software SDK, with compilers and shapes recognition tools, is also provided.

SensComp (4 products) - These superb Smart Sensors offer unrivaled performance, where a high degree of accuracy and reliability is required. Suitable for commercial and industrial use they combine ultra-sensitive electrostatic transducers available with SMT electronics in conveniently sized packages. Applications include robotics, presence detection and educational products.

Lynxmotion (3 products) - A range of line detection and proximity detectors, from Lynxmotion, that can be attached to a sumo, or other mobile robot. These sensors deliver a stable TTL compatible high or low voltage.

Hamamatsu (5 products) - This Hamamatsu drive circuit is made to drive a Hamamatsu R2868 Flame Detector This circuit uses little energy (~3mA, Typ.) and contains all the necessary high voltage electronics, drive circuitry, noise canceling, and signal processing needed when using the R2868 detector.

Accelerometers (3 products) - The DE-ACCM2G is an off the shelf 2 axis 2g accelerometer solution with analog outputs. It features integrated op amp buffers for direct connection to a microcontroller's analog inputs, or for driving heavier loads.

Fairchild - Infrared photoreflector sensor. Contains two elements, one which emits a beam of infrared light and the other which detects that light. An object in front of this sensor will reflect light. This sensor can be used as a downward-looking detector, to detect the edge of the sumo ring or to detect a line to follow.

Phidgets (20 products) - Phidgets are an easy to use set of building blocks for low cost sensing and control from your PC. Using the Universal Serial Bus (USB) as the basis for all Phidgets, the complexity is managed behind an easy to use and robust Application Programming Interface (API). Applications can be developed quickly in Visual Basic, VBA (Microsoft Access and Excel), LabView, Java, Delphi, C and C++.

Designer Sys (2 products) - The Infrared Communication Modules (IRCM) is a highly integrated infrared wireless communications module that allows the formation of a local area bi–directional wireless network capable of transferring data over a distance of up to 10 metres.
