The Robo Jr & Line follower kits come with clear, easy to follow directions. These robot kits are ideal for someone just beginning to explore the world of robotics (assembly and soldering required).
Cruiser micromouse & line following robot (assembled)
Cruiser is a maze solving micromouse and a preprogrammed line tracer. It comes with two sensor modules for a micromouse and a line tracer. The user can use one module at a time and easily switch them for their needs. The line-tracer module is for reading black lines on the floor and the micromouse module is for detecting the maze walls.
The HexAvoider is a programmable mobile robot designed to move independently and avoid obstacles by either moving to the left or right. HexAvoider uses infrared emitters and receivers to "sense" its environment. It also has two antennae or "feelers". These are also used to sense obstacles.
Robo Jr. is a basic line-tracing robot. It follows a path laid out for it along a floor or other smooth surface. The path must be a dark line on a light background. The colours are not important, but there needs to be sufficient contrast between them.
Robo Jr. Light is a basic light tracer. It follows a light source such as a torch. It has two photo sensors, one on the front right corner and another on the front left corner. Two motors power it.
Mr. Line is a line-tracing robot. It follows a path laid out for it along a floor or other smooth surface. The path must be a dark line on a light background. Each emitter projects infrared light onto the floor.
Linbot is an advanced line tracer robot. It has one pair of infrared emitters and sensors directed forward, as well as three pairs of infrared emitters and sensors directed downward. Linbot can follow a black line placed on a white floor as well as a white line on a black floor.
When an obstacle is detected while following the line, Linbot makes a U-turn and continues on.
AIRAT2 is a micromouse robot that uses an 8051 CPU. The AIRAT2 emits a beam of light and uses sensors to receive the amount reflected back. The CPU board utilizes the JS8051-A2 board. The JS8051-A2 is very well constructed. It uses powerful outside resources such as LCD, ADC, two external timers, self-FLASH writing and more.
