Phidgets are an easy to use set of building blocks for low cost sensing and control from your PC. Using the Universal Serial Bus (USB) as the basis for all Phidgets, the complexity is managed behind an easy to use and robust Application Programming Interface (API). Applications can be developed quickly in Visual Basic, VBA (Microsoft Access and Excel), LabView, Java, Delphi, C and C++.
The USB to Serial Converter Cable is ideal for connecting RS232 devices to any of the PhidgetSBC's USB ports. The SBC will automatically recognize the Converter when it is plugged in and will create a serial port for it. Be aware that the 3400 and any serial devices connected to it are not "Phidgets devices" and therefore cannot be accessed or controlled by the Phidgets' APIs. Using this product requires a working knowledge of Linux.
The USB Webcam is a true plug & play UVC device. The PhidgetSBC will automatically recognize the Web Cam when it is plugged in and will create a port for it.
The software driver is included in the PhidgetSBC. The Webcam is a simple camera with an integrated microphone.
You can manually adjust the focus from 3cm to infinity.

Dual Relay Board
The Dual Relay Board is an accessory to the PhidgetInterfaceKit 8/8/8. Each relay is controlled by a seperate Digital Output, and can control open or close a circuit up to 240 volts at 10 amps AC or 100 volts at 5 amps DC. The relay board does require power connection from one analog input, and so reduces the number of available analog inputs.
