This "Incremental quadrature encoder system" is specially designed by Nubotics to retrofit to the GM2, GM3, GM8 or GM9 gear motor. If you need to control a robot for dead reckoning, tracking odometry (distance travelled), stalled motor, or closing the feedback loop for position/velocity/acceleration, this is your solution.
The WheelCommander is a motion controller that incorporates closed loop functionality to differentially driven robots when combined with odometry encoders.
Motor control is derived from geometrical robot dimensions to create a highly abstracted motion control module. High level commands, such as "drive a set distance", can be issued to the WheelCommander.
This WW-01 WheelWatcher Encoder Kit by Nubotics includes parts to assemble two incremental quadrature encoder systems that attach to standard RC servos. The incremental encoder system works with standard servos and standard injection-molded wheels. The kit also includes an alignment tool and instruction booklet.
The CS-040-01 is a codewheel mounting system for WheelWatcher CW-32 codewheel stickers used with the WW-01 and WW-02.
This spacer allows you to use the codewheel sticker on a variety of wheels (from Budget Robotics or other vendors) or any mechanism that attaches to a servo with a servo control horn. Some drilling on your part is required, but the predrilled guide holes make it simple.
This sticker comes in the Nubotics WheelWatcher Kit and individual WheelWatcher. Here you can purchase them individually if you need extras for additional wheels.

This encoder kit can turn the Easy Roller Robot Wheel Kit (EZR) into a "dead-reckoning" robot drive system. Implementing complex position control algorithms is simplified with this encoder.
Works with Easy Roller Robot Wheel Kit (EZR), Motion Mind Position Controller (MOTM_1).
