Leg Mounting Pads

Looking for a way to attach legs to a servo? Here you go - these Leg Mounting Pads are ideal for that purpose. Solder or bolt your legs to the pad, and screw it onto most servo output arms with the included screws.

Heavy Duty

Much like the lighter duty LMP1, these are a way to attach a solderable mount point to a servo arm or now to a GMW wheel. New Gold plating! These are heavy duty versions.

These leg mounting pads were designed with our Turbot Kit in mind. Strong, and easily mounted to GMW wheels, they're ideal for leg mounting.

Metal Cassette Mechanism

The MCM metal cassette mechanism is a an OEM, brand-new microcassette drive mechanism with a nice Mabuchi drive motor (that's a quality part!), belt & pulley mechanism, opto-reflector, tape read-head and pinch roller assembly. 59 grams of hacking goodness that with a pair of snips, pliers and some hot glue can be turned... into many things! (We like solarollers built with the SCC3733a Power solar cell bundle.

The motor draws only 12mA at 2 volts, and only 28mA at 5V. It's a nice device!

Metal Cassette Mechanism 2

These are definitely a rare find. Ever wonder what Mark Tilden used to build his original BEAM devices out of? These things! (His original Photovore, T.H.A.B. jumper, and SunSpinner)! These are high-precision tape transport mechanisms with 2 motors - one large pancake motor, and one worm-reduction gearmotor!

They also have quite a variety of belts & screws, a beautiful brass pulley wheel, rubber capstan pinch roller, a fine spring (what the original "omni-touch" tactile sensors were built with), and a fine coil (pancake motor encoder output).

5.0" Propellor

Measuring 5" in diameter, this propeller has a 0.050" hole in the middle (matching 0.050" music wire). You will want to drill it out a bit to make it fit most motors. The pitch on this propeller is pretty heavy, so you'll want a high torque motor to spin it with authority (or several strands of #2 rubber!).

2.55" Propellor

These GWS EP2508 propellers are a nice unit to mount on a pager motor or other small motor, and generate a nice breeze!

• 1mm shaft hole diameter (easily drilled out to suit your motor)

3.4" Propellor

One of our favorite devices around the office is a small solar-powered airplane that hangs above the workbench. Every so often, it spins up the propeller, and zooms around in circles!

Build your own with a Grand Wing Servo GWS GW/EP3030/BK 87mm Dia x76mm pitch (3.4" x 3" pitch) propeller, which is used very successfully in by "indoor flyer" remote controlled aircraft.

The hub has a 1.5mm hole (0.059") which matches many suitably-sized motors, like our RM1a motor.

0.050" Bondhus Hex Wrench

This is a quality 0.050" allen-key style hex wrench, ideal for tightening hex socket set screws like the ones used in our RW2 wheels.

After being frustrated after stripping too many hex wrenches while tightening RW2 wheels onto motor shafts, we decided to get some good hex wrenches. These Bondhus brand hex wrenches have been doing a great job for us. They're an ideal companion for any RW2 users!
