GM10 Wheel
The GM10 Wheel works very well with the GM10. Simply snip off the self-centering tab on the GM10, unscrew the stock arm and spring, and replace them with this wheel to make a zippy wheel and motor combination!
It measures 25mm (1") in diameter, 5.7mm wide (.22"), and uses well-proven traction-band tyres.
The wheel comes with two small black traction bands (total weight: 2 grams)
Note: These best fit the old GMPW wheels, as the new GMPW wheels come with premolded rubber traction tyres.
Tyres sold individually
Gear Motor 2/3/8/9 Traction Tyres
Although the rubber traction-bands on the OLD GMPW series wheels are good (and even better when double-layered), you need some "good grips" when you start playing mini-sumo in the advanced leagues.
Specifically molded to offer maximum traction, these 14 durometer Shore 'A' elastomer tyres are the easiest way to upgrade your Sumovore to top-level competitiveness. As they are thicker than traction bands, they also increase the rolling diameter of the wheel from 67mm to 71mm.
Black ain't good enough for you? Need more style, more 'tude for your robot? A new set of rubber on your 'bot is an inexpensive way to change the look of your robot!
These ain't your Mama's rubber bands either - they're a special soft-compound band for superior traction. Bands sold individually.
This custom-designed white plastic wheel has a rubber tire measuring 1.65" (42 mm) in diameter and is designed to fit the output shafts on the Pololu micro and mini metal gearmotors as well as the Solarbotics metal gear motors.
Teeth on the hub optionally allow a reflectance sensor to be used for encoder feedback. These wheels are sold in pairs.
These omni-directional roller wheels available in two sizes and are ideal for use with two-motor skid steering robots.

Ball Casters
A small ball bearing and housing that can be easily incorporated into chassis designs. These casters are ideal for competition robots. Sold in pairs with fixing screws.
Newly re-designed and manufactured, these beautifully machined aluminum hubs come with a generously thick rubber tyre for maximum traction (ideal for minisumo, like our 1st place finishing Strong Bad!!).
The tyre mounted on the hub measures in at 31.2mm (1.23in) diameter and overall width (including set-screw flange) of 11mm (0.67in) wide. The hub is drilled for a 3mm axle ideal for the GM12a-14a/18 series of gear motors! It's a nice, fat, beefy wheel ideal for small robots! Secure it to your motor shaft with the included 4-40 hex grub/setscrew (requires 0.050 hex wrench, like our HexW050).
Solarbotics 1-1/4" Rubber Wheels - Internal Set Screw
Redesigned at the same time as the RW2, we had these very similar hubs made to trim off a valuable 3.8mm (.15") by making the set-screw hole on the aluminum rim, underneath the tire. It means you have to remove the tyre from the hub to tighten it, but well worth it for designs that need every millimeter of room! come with a generously thick rubber tire for maximum traction.
9mm OD, 1.5mm ID, 7mm wide. The same as used in our SolarSpeeder kit. Ideal for you do-it-yourself Solaroller builders who plan on entering competition.
Don't forget to order PRet plastic retainers if you're planning on using these on standard 0.055" diameter music wire shafts!
The PRet plastic retainer is a plastic nub designed to press-fit onto a 1.5mm shaft (like our RM1a). We use it as a hub for making micro wheels out of silicon tubing stretched over the PRet!
