Easy-Step™3000 Development System
The ES3KDS is fundamentally a development tool for the Active Robots 'Easy-Step™ 3000' (ES3000) stepper motor control board. Its small physical size makes it ideal for incorporating in robots and other industrial control equipment.

Built in stepper motor (Sanyo Denki 103H546-0440)
Simple clearly marked connections
Requires a single DC power source (12V to 30V @1A)
Bayonet power input connectors, compatible with Lab power supply units
Built in switch mode PSU for efficiency
3V or 6V motors (via motor select switch)
Motor select switch (switch between the internal or an external motor - with LED indicator)
Terminals (quality rising clamp) provided for connecting external motors
POT function is switchable between Voltage or Internal Oscillator
Built in Oscillator (2Hz to 55Hz), POT controlled, for driving step input (IP1)
Built in Analogue control voltage [onboard POT controlled], (IP5)
RS232 Connector (9pin D-type female) for connection to PC serial comms port
Auto shutdown in the event of motor/wiring faults (indicated by Buzzer/Yellow LED)
Gold test pin loops for IP1/2/3/4/5/Busy/Motor phase1/2/3/4/Motor+Ve and Scope GND
Manual control buttons to Step(IP1), replay all(IP3) and replay sequence(IP4)
Clock wise/Counter Clock wise selection switch
HI/LO logic indicator LEDS for IP1/2/3/4/Busy
Inputs IP1/2/3/4/5 available for connecting to external equipment
Built in cooling fan to prevent overheating
Motor Phase LEDS indicate the state (powered on/off) of the individual motor coils
The dev. system has a way of determining the position of the rotor by means of a pointer and markings on the PCB, scaled: 0 to 200 (steps), useful in determining that a motor has lost a step.
