Sparkfun Arduino MegaShield Kit

The Arduino Mega now has its very own prototyping shield! The MegaShield mates with the Arduino Mega board and gives the user a prototyping area, two general LEDs, and, most important of all, the Arduino Mega reset switch is brought to the top level.

The shield also works with our small breadboards if you don't want to solder to the prototyping area.

This comes in kit form and must be soldered together by the end user. Please note - we do not ship assembly instructions!

All soldering is through-hole (relatively easy) but always check your component orientation before soldering!

Sparkfun Arduino MegaShield Kit

Sparkfun - WingShield

The WingShield ScrewShield extends all pins of the Arduino out to 3.5mm pitch screw terminals. Both sides of the shield are broken out to the side of the Arduino, to allow access to everything on the main Arduino board. Stacking headers are also included so you can pile more shields on top.

This product includes all the parts shown and comes in kit form and must be soldered together by the end user. Check out the WingShield homepage for assembly instructions. All soldering is through-hole.

Sparkfun FTDI Basic Breakout - 5V

This is a basic breakout board for the FTDI FT232RL USB to serial IC. The pinout of this board matches the FTDI cable to work with official Arduino and cloned 5V Arduino boards. It can also be used for general serial applications. The major difference with this board is that it brings out the DTR pin as opposed to the RTS pin of the FTDI cable. The DTR pin allows an Arduino target to auto-reset when a new Sketch is downloaded. This is a really nice feature to have and allows a sketch to be downloaded without having to hit the reset button. This board will auto reset any Arduino board that has the reset pin brought out to a 6-pin connector.

Solarbotics NunChucky Wii Nunchuck I2C Breakout Adapter

The Wii Nunchuck has proven to be an excellent bargain - switches, joystick, and accelerometer in one handy package! But it's a shame to hack off the connector to make use of it, so use the Solarbotics Nunchucky breakout board adapter!

The Nunchucky features:

  • Two sets of interface pads
  • Includes both 4 Pin male and 4 pin female headers
  • Lock notches so your Nunchuck "clicks" in and won't let loose!
  • Tie-down Holes for securing ribbon-cable extensions

HVWTech Stamp Stack II Microcontroller Kit

The HVW Technologies' Stamp Stack II is a bread-board friendly, abuse-tolerant, Parallax BS2 100% compatible microcontroller.

Designed to plug into any solderless breadboard, this 100%-compatible Basic Stamp 2 microcontroller is reverse-polarity protected, has a built-on serial programming connector and reset switch, and has an easily replaced interpreter & EEPROM.

Although somewhat larger, it's substantially less expensive than a true Parallax BS2 module, but still interfaces with our Sumovore Mini-sumo through the BS2-brainboard add-on.
