This 8x12 inch, 2mm thick expanded PVC sheet has excellent robot-building characteristics. Smooth and easy-to-form with a knife, it glues very easily with super-glue and epoxy. The picture is a comparison between the 2mm and 3mm white sintra.
The 2mm sintra is the thinnest in the selection, it is very flexible and can be cut with scissors.
Solarbotics use 3mm Sintra for building many of their robots because of its ability to glue well with epoxy and superglue, it can be easily cut, drilled and threaded for screw fasteners, and comes in white, black, dark blue, yellow and red.
You can easily shape sintra by immersing it in hot water and bending it to your desired shape while it cools!
Just don't use black sintra with solar-powered robots - on hot sunny days, it's been known to get soft!

The black-coloured sintra absorbs heat very well, and BEAMbots built with it have been known to "melt down" a bit when put under strong lamps!
