Enable Javascript in Netscape 8
  1. Select Options from the Tools menu.

  2. In the Options window, click the Site Controls icon (looks like a shield).

  3. If you’re using Netscape’s customizable settings feature (under the Site List tab), add this site to your list of trusted sites:
    1. Click Add Site.
    2. In the Add Site Settings window, enter www.SiteName.com (replace SiteName with name displayed in the address bar) next to Domain.
    3. For Initial Trust Setting, select I Trust This Site.
    4. Click the Add Site button.
    5. Then, make sure the I Trust This Site setting enables JavaScript. (more info)

  4. If you’re not using Netscape Trust Ratings, then make sure the default Trust Setting enables JavaScript:
    1. Click the Global Settings tab.
    2. If Do Not Use Netscape Trust Ratings is selected, notice what the default setting is – I Trust This Site, I’m Not Sure, or I Don’t Trust This Site.
    3. Click the Site List tab.
    4. Follow the instructions To Enable JavaScript for a Trust Setting. (more info)
    5. Click OK at the bottom of the Options window.


To Enable JavaScript for a Trust Setting:

  1. Select Options from the Tools menu.

  2. In the Options window, click the Site Controls icon.

  3. Under Master Settings, click the desired trust level – I Trust This Site, I'm Not Sure, or I Don't Trust This Site.

  4. Under Web Features, check the Enable JavaScript check box.

  5. If you plan to order on this site, you’ll also need to enable cookies. Do this by checking the Allow cookies check box.
