This family of motors (3258, 3259, 3260) have the same gearbox type and mounting metrics as the (3254, 3255, 3256, 3257) family of motors.
The 3258E DC motor connects to either of the following controllers:
- 1064 - PhidgetMotorControl HC
- 1065 - PhidgetMotorControl 1-Motor
This motor comes equipped with an E4P US Digital Encoder, which keeps track of the motor's rotation.

The torque this motor produces when it stalls exceeds the rated strength of the gearbox. This means that stalling or very heavily loading this motor can cause serious damage to the gearbox. To avoid damage, avoid sudden loads or any load higher than the Maximum Strength of Gears spec.
